ALiEnS-SOC Host first Plenary Meeting in Ljubljana

Ljubljana, Slovenia –  On June 20, 2025, the ALiEnS-SOC consortium marked a major milestone by holding its first Plenary Meeting in Ljubljana, Slovenia – celebrating six months of dynamic, cross-border cooperation aimed at fortifying cybersecurity in the energy sector.

The event was graciously hosted by ELES, d.o.o., the combined transmission and distribution system operator of the Republic of Slovenia. Representatives from all 13 project partners – spanning Slovenia and Croatia – came together to review progress, share insights, and synchronize efforts toward a common goal: advancing the resilience and capabilities of Slovenia’s electro-energy Security Operations Center (SOC).

The ALiEnS-SOC project is focused on strengthening cybersecurity in Slovenia’s electro-energy SOC—ensuring faster detection, smarter defense, and stronger resilience across critical infrastructure.

The ALiEnS-SOC consortium is led by ELES, d.o.o. – the combined transmission and distribution system operator of the Republic of Slovenia and includes the following partners: Informatika, informacijske storitve in inženiring, d.d. Smartis, informacijski sistemi, d.o.o. Tiko Pro, podjetniško svetovanje, d.o.o., Akademska in raziskovalna mreža Slovenije (ARNES), Urad Vlade Republike Slovenije za informacijsko varnost (URSIV), Telekom Slovenije, d.d., Elektro Gorenjska, podjetje za distribucijo električne energije, d.d., Elektro Celje, d.d., Elektro Primorska, podjetje za distribucijo električne energije, d.d., Elektro Maribor, podjetje za distribucijo električne energije, d.d., Elektro Ljubljana, podjetje za distribucijo električne energije, d.d. , Končar – Digital, d.o.o. za digitalne usluge.

Highlights of the meeting included detailed updates from each work package, productive strategic discussions, and forward-looking planning sessions. The atmosphere was marked by a shared sense of purpose and a clear collective vision: to build a robust, agile, and integrated cybersecurity framework that safeguards the region’s most vital systems.

This plenary not only showcased the depth of expertise and commitment across the consortium but also reinforced the value of collaboration in addressing emerging cyber threats. The ALiEnS-SOC project continues to serve as a model for regional innovation, cooperation, and security.
