Join the Third ALiEnS-SOC Online Workshop “AI for Energy Cybersecurity” on 19 November 2026

October 26, 2026

The ALiEnS-SOC project is organising its third online workshop under the title “AI for Energy Cybersecurity”, taking place on 19 November 2026, from 12:00 to 14:00 CET. The event will bring together experts from cybersecurity, technology and EU-funded innovation to explore how artificial intelligence can contribute to strengthening cyber resilience in the energy sector.

Artificial intelligence is increasingly being used not only to strengthen cybersecurity but also to develop and carry out cyberattacks. As AI-enabled threats become more sophisticated, cybersecurity measures must keep pace by adopting advanced technologies and innovative approaches to threat detection, analysis and response.
Recognising these challenges, the ALiEnS-SOC consortium is committed to strengthening knowledge and expertise through a series of capacity-building activities. This third workshop forms part of these commitments, providing an opportunity to share expertise, present project findings and explore practical applications of AI in cybersecurity.

Through the development of an AI-based cybersecurity framework, ALiEnS-SOC aims to support the protection of critical energy infrastructure and contribute to a more cyber.

Meet the Speakers and Explore the Agenda

The two-hour workshop will feature four presentations covering European cybersecurity priorities, the energy sector’s cybersecurity landscape, practical applications of AI and technological developments within ALiEnS-SOC.

1. Turning EU Cybersecurity Priorities into Innovative Projects – Matej Tisaj, Head of EU Programmes at Tiko Pro

The presentation will explore how European cybersecurity priorities can be translated into innovative projects, highlighting the role of EU initiatives and funding opportunities in supporting cybersecurity innovation and collaboration.

2. Cyber Resilience of the Energy Sector – Final Results and Findings of the ALiEnS-SOC WP2 Ecosystem Analysis – Andrej Bregar, Deputy Business Director at Informatika d.o.o.

This session will present the findings of the ecosystem analysis conducted within ALiEnS-SOC Work Package 2. It will provide insights into cybersecurity challenges, identified needs and opportunities for strengthening cyber resilience in the energy sector.

3. Accelerating Cybersecurity Processes with AI: From Concept to Working Prototype – Matjaž Rihtar, Cyber Security Specialist at the Government Information Security Office of the Republic of Slovenia

The presentation will focus on the practical application of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity, exploring how AI-based concepts can be transformed into working prototypes to support and accelerate cybersecurity processes.

4. Architectural Design of the ALiEnS-SOC AI/LLM and CTI Platforms – Rok Debevc, Enterprise Architect at Smartis d.o.o.

The final presentation will introduce the architectural design of the AI/LLM and Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) platforms being developed within ALiEnS-SOC, providing insights into the technical foundations of the project’s cybersecurity framework.
